Accreditation and Joint Providership

Call us for a free consult!

We are pleased to partner with organizations to help plan certified continuing education (CE). Our dedicated accreditation team is available to manage your CE needs and they look forward to helping you plan your educational program. We have streamlined this process to ensure an efficient CE experience and are dedicated to providing you with assistance every step of the way.

Clinicians rely on certified CE as one of the support systems that helps them continuously improve their practice and the care of their patients. Participation in CE helps clinicians meet requirements for continuing certification by specialty boards, credentialing, professional society membership, and other professional privileges. CE is also required for medical licensure in many states.  Increasingly, healthcare organizations—including hospitals, managed care organizations, accountable care organizations, and health plans—consider participation in continuing education as part of ongoing professional development, recredentialing, clinical privileging, and quality improvement initiatives.

Please contact us at cmehelp@ipmameded.org to learn more about opportunities to collaborate with IPMA.

CE Mission

IPMA develops partnerships that meet our mission, to advance lifelong learning for healthcare professionals and teams thereby improving patient health, population outcomes, and the value of healthcare. Activities will address identified healthcare needs and be delivered through learner focused methods. Measured outcomes include enhancing learners' competence, improving their performance, or positively impacting patient outcomes.

Quality Improvement Programs That Improve Health and Health Care

Improving the quality, safety, and efficiency of patient care is central to every healthcare organization. Continuous quality improvement (QI) enables clinicians and healthcare teams to identify opportunities to improve health and healthcare, implement evidence-based changes, measure outcomes, and sustain meaningful improvements in care delivery. Participation in QI initiatives also supports continuing certification requirements for many specialty boards, strengthens organizational performance, and advances a culture of patient safety, continuous learning, and excellence.

As an approved Portfolio Sponsor, IPMA helps healthcare organizations develop and implement quality improvement initiatives that align with recognized quality improvement frameworks and, where applicable, support continuing certification performance improvement requirements for participating specialty boards. Our clinically focused online QI learning platform guides healthcare teams through a structured process of assessing current performance, implementing evidence-based interventions, measuring outcomes, and sustaining improvements. We partner with organizations to design customized QI initiatives that improve clinical performance, enhance patient outcomes, strengthen healthcare delivery, promote safer, higher-quality care, and streamline documentation for continuing certification credit.

By integrating accredited continuing education with quality improvement, IPMA helps healthcare organizations translate learning into measurable improvements in clinician performance, patient outcomes, and the quality of health and healthcare.
