Interstate Postgraduate Medical Association’s (IPMA) is a trusted source that works in the space of medical education, with a particular focus on physician leadership, accreditation and quality improvement. Our mission as a physician-led 501(c)(3) organization is to - advance lifelong learning to improve patients' health and the value of healthcare. By remaining mission focused, IPMA has supported physicians, clinicians and healthcare professionals on their learning journey to provide patient centered care. Our mission guides us to equip physicians and their team for the challenges they face in today’s healthcare environment. Along the century-long journey, IPMA has become expert in understanding how physicians best learn and apply new information. We have worked around the globe and in the individual physician’s office to provide education, quality improvement resources, certification, and training. Founded in 1916, IPMA has been guided by some of medicine's great teachers, including Dr. William J. Mayo, Dr. Charles H. Mayo, and Dr. Alton Ochsner. Our diverse educational offerings include comprehensive needs assessments that identify learner gaps and educational needs; cutting-edge performance improvement initiatives that incorporate self-directed learning to advance clinical practice, and ASCENT, our physician leadership program that enhances professional and personal development.
IPMA can also provide AAFP, AANP, California Board of Registered Nursing, and Continuing Pharmacy Education credits.
